CBS Cybersecurity Alumni Network Event - ‘Supply Chain Cybersecurity’
Event Description
Join the CBS Cybersecurity Alumni Network on 14th November 2024 for our next event at Howitzvej 60 (6th floor) discussing the numerous challenges of supply chain cybersecurity.
While it has for a long time been seen as a fringe issue, supply chain cybersecurity has become one of the hottest topics in the field in recent years. Major supply chain hacks such as SolarWinds or the closure of entire supermarket chains because a payment provider has been hacked make the headlines but the supply chain is emerging as a huge systemic problem.
As large organizations hardened their networks, targeting their smaller and more vulnerable suppliers has emerged as an increasingly popular attack vector. So we need to find out more about the cyber maturity in the supply chain but how do you identify high risk suppliers? Moreover, with NIS 2 entering into force thousands of companies will soon have to demonstrate to regulators that they are managing their supply chain cyber risk – what will this mean for the many thousands of SMEs that supply them? What demands are they likely to face and will they be dropped if they cannot comply?
This session will address all of these questions and more. As usual, this event is kindly supported by our sponsors PwC so once more there will be free pizza and drinks at the networking reception following the event.
