Event Description
Speaker: Brian Boyd
Topic: Publishing in management outlets is a challenging process: Review cycles are long, disagreement among reviewers is common, and rejection rates are extremely high. This presentation aims to help prepare authors to become more effective at managing the process. We will start with a quick summary of the Kuhnian model of science, and how it shapes publication processes in management outlets. Next, we will identify some common pitfalls and best practices for both initial submissions and revision invitations.
After Brian's presentation and Q&A, Brian also welcomed the opportunity to discuss some current work in progress and give concrete comments to the authors.
