Human activity is causing our planet to heat up at an unprecedented rate. Recent data shows that upstream supply chain emissions (Scope 3) are on average more than 25 times greater than Scope 1 and 2 emissions combined. Therefore, there is untapped potential for substantial emissions reductions through the implementation of supply chain initiatives. This places responsibility and opportunity in the hands of supply chain, procurement, operations, and logistics professionals. This event serves as a platform to discuss new developments and learn from best practices.
This is a joint event by Ramboll Management Consulting and the Department of Operations Management at Copenhagen Business School.
Speakers include:
- Jack Robinson (Associate Manager, Ramboll Management Consulting), who will present a new report on Scope 3 emissions;
- Andreas Wieland (Associate Professor, Copenhagen Business School), who will present a framework for effectively reducing supply chain emissions; and
- Victor Gancel (Climate & Decarbonization Lead, Danfoss), who will talk about his company’s decarbonization journey.
- Hannah Smith (Sustainability Manager, GN Group), who will share her expertise in reducing emissions.
The event will begin with coffee at 9:00 and the presentations and discussions will begin at 9:30.
CBS’s “Accounting, Organization and Decision-Making”, “Reimagining Supply Chains”, and “Sustainable Procurement” initiatives have jointly contributed to this event.
Registration is free, but necessary.
