Social Science in Green Transition CBS Workshop

Event Description

Green Transition – how can your research contribute?

Digital workshop on Social Science in Green Transition CBS

Get inspired by Douglas K. R. Robinson, work on your own ideas & talk to  CBS leadership

 Thursday 25th of March 2021 from 09.00-11.00

Succeeding with green transition requires social science research. As social science academic you can still find it problematic to yourself and your research under headlines like ‘carbon capture’, ‘power-t-x’,’ sustainable agriculture’ or, ‘circular economy in plastics and textiles’.

During the workshop, we will make a first attempt to decompose the green missions* and enrich them with your social science perspectives. The aim is to sharpen our thoughts on what to contribute with and to make us all ready for the cross-disciplinary dialogue that has already started but will intensify over the coming period when it comes to external funds.

Join to:

Meet CBS leadership and engage with them on green transition:
CBS President Nikolaj Malchow-Møller and Dean of Research Søren Hvidkjær will be there to hear your input to accelerating the role of Green Transition research at CBS.

Get inspiration:
Deputy Director of LISIS, Douglas K. R. Robinson, has extensive experience with embedding SSH into TECH and will give us his best recommendations on how to succeed.

See your own potential role in the missions: Work with peers in a facilitated process to translate the technology-based headlines to social science challenges that matter to you.

Parallel to the workshop we are in dialogue with DTU, KU and Aarhus University regarding the process of defining green road-maps and partnership applications for the upcoming Innovation Fund call in June and August. The results from the workshop will further strengthen our potential to join these partnerships and make social science matter.

*Four Green Missions are the corner stones of the recent Danish Green Research Strategy. Nationally, Innovation Fund Denmark will invest 700 m. DKK in 2021 in Green Research and Innovation Partnerships, but the themes go beyond that in both national and EU-based calls.
