The seminar will be structured as follows: The four discussants will each introduce key ideas from their recently published works during this 2-day seminar. Each presentation will be followed by comments and discussions by the other participants, leading to a broader discussion with focus on state formation theory. At the end, the four scholars will be asking what the future holds for state formation theory.
