Event Description
In the summer of 2020, the Schrems II decision had a huge impact on the possibility of transferring personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA and thereby also affecting how personal data can be shared in research projects.
In this webinar, the panelists will provide you with their input on how they have worked with the Schrems II decision at their respective universities and the challenges and solutions which they have come up with.
The panelists are:
Søren Broberg Nielsen – Data protection officer at the University of Aarhus
Martin Putsén – Head of Legal Office at Linköping University
Lotta Ylä-Sulkava – Data protection officer at the University of Helsinki
Ingvild Stock-Jørgensen – Senior legal adviser at UiT the Arctic University of Norway
Each panelist will do a 15 minute presentation focusing on different aspects of the impact of the Schrems II decision and after the presentations there will be a panel debate, where you will be able to ask questions to the panelists. The webinar will be held on Zoom and you will receive a link to the webinar the day before the webinar.
