Event Description
On Wednesday 15 March the MRA PhD network will host a whole day event at SIMAC where maritime PhDs and postdocs can get an introduction to the maritime sector.

07.30-10.00 Transport to SIMAC by bus (from Copenhagen)
10.00-11.00 Welcome, coffee, and short pitches
11.00-12.00 Introduction to the shipping sector (by Thomas Roslyng Olesen, Maritime Research Alliance)
12.00-12.30 lunch
12.30-13.30 Introduction to the ships, ports, engines, and seafarers (by Signe Jensen, SIMAC)
13.30-14.00 Transport to training simulator
14.00-16.00 Training simulator
16.00-16.30 coffee, cake and summing up of the day
16.30-19.00 Transport to Copenhagen by bus
