Process Mining - adding digital process transparency to the finance function toolbox

Event Description

Danish Accounting Network is, together with Carve Consulting, hosting an event about process mining. The purpose is to bridge academic and learnings from practice when using process mining tools. Associate professor Andrea Burattin gives a general introduction to process mining in relation to his research, and The LEGO Group will present how they have been working on implementing process mining in value chains and business processes within the finance function.

Digital tools for optimizing and automatization of processes are in advance. This raises some important questions for business finance professionals – for example: How will these digital tools influence finance organizations in the future, and what capabilities do financial people need to have to be able to deliver? And how do we adapt to technologies that are already out there?

Process mining is a tool that uses digital footprints to provide companies with a detailed and precise overview of business processes. Firms can remove process inefficiencies, spot automation opportunities and continuously optimize key processes end-to-end. And finance professionals have an important part to play.
