Joint CBDS - FAU Seminar

 
Join us on October 26th for our CBDS-FAU seminar where we’ll be highlighting parts of the research and activities on Global South, Business & Development at CBS/CBDS, including the breath in terms of topics, perspectives and partnerships, with a focus on selected parts of the African Continent.
 
The program includes a short and brief welcome by FAU (the Association of Development Researchers in Denmark) (Søren Jeppesen, as one of  Spokes persons for FAU) and short introduction to CBDS (by Thilde Langevang) followed by four shorter (max. 15 minutes) presentations:
 
  • Mogens Kamp Justesen, on ‘Business Tycoons and the role of business in politics’
  • Lindsay Whitfield, on ‘Building apparel export industries in Ethiopia and Kenya’
  • Marcus Møller Larsen & Rebecca Namatovu, on ‘Firm Formalization and Sustainable Development’
  • Thilde Langevang and Robin Steedman, on ‘Creative industries in Ghana’
There will be a coffee break after the presentations before we conclude the event with:
 
  • A Q&A session with the presenters
  • Wrap up by FAU
