Event Description

The Age of Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff is one of this year’s most important books, and this is a rare chance to hear one of the top thinkers of our time talk about how digital transformations - propelled by shadowy forces - shape our lives and societies.

15:30: Welcome and introduction by Mikkel Flyverbom (Professor mso and Academic Director of the research platform Digital Transformations at CBS) and Rikke Frank Jørgensen (Senior researcher at The Danish Institute for Human Rights)

Shoshana Zuboff (Professor emerita, Harvard Business School) is the author of The Age of Surveillance Capitalism: The Fight for a Human Future at the New Frontier of Power (2019) and In the Age of the Smart Machine: The Future of Work and Power’ (1988)

Digital Transformations Platform is a spearhead initiative at Copenhagen Business School running from 2018-2023, focusing on the implications of digital transformations for economic and societal developments.
