Event Description

Copenhagen Business School welcomes Harvard Business School senior fellow, former Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, and author Karen G. Mills to discuss her new book, Fintech, Small Business & the American Dream. The book details how big data and artificial intelligence have the potential to revolutionize financial services in the traditional banking landscape. Mills takes a comprehensive look at how technology is transforming small business lending, creating new opportunities for small business owners, and energizing this critical segment of the economy.

Karen Gordon Mills served in President Barack Obama's Cabinet as Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (2009-2013). Mills is a venture capitalist and serves in leadership roles for several policy organizations, including the National Bureau of Economic Research Board of Directors and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee. Mills earned an AB in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
