Corporate-Startup Collaborations in the Nordics: A Survey Project

Event Description

Corporate-Startup collaboration has recently risen to prominence as a strategy for corporate growth and venture development. In recent years, several large firms in Denmark and the Nordics have initiated engagement with startups to help achieve success in their innovation challenges, while also providing startups with financial and strategic support. Mostly, this practice relates to Corporate Venture Capital (CVC); however, other models have emerged, creating a diversity of approaches and strategies to take advantage of the growth opportunities that come from collaboration with entrepreneurial ventures.

What are some of the different models and governance structures used to arrange these collaborations? What is the level of investment and equity acquired in each startup, if any? What are the resources exchanged? Who are the corporate figures involved? What do corporate venture portfolios look like? All these and other questions have been asked to 32 Danish and Nordic corporations in the very first extensive survey effort to map the current status of the corporate-startup collaboration phenomenon, with a particular focus on CVC as the most common vehicle for these collaborations.

In order to disseminate and reflect on the results of the Nordic CVC Survey, the promoters of the survey, Copenhagen Business (CBS) and TechBBQ, invite you to an event organized on Wednesday the 24th of April 2024 from h16 to h18, at Kilen Building in CBS Campus.
