The Centre for Organization and Time (COT, IOA) invites to a seminar @bout time on:
Designing a Better Future for All: Integrating Systems Thinking into Strategic Management
With Tima Bansal Professor and Canada Research Chair of Business Sustainability at the Ivey Business School, Western University (London, Canada)
Abstract In this seminar, Tima Bansal will argue that the analytical methods used by strategy scholars and managers to tackle business problems is increasingly problematic, especially in the context of wicked problems. The increased interconnectedness of the business world means that the pursuit of causal outcomes for strategic decisions will inevitably be elusive. She will propose systems thinking as a complementary approach to the dominant analytical approach taken in strategic management. She will outline the fundamental assumptions that ground systems thinking and their implications to both management research and practice.
